                                    Music  Ambassador Program                           

 Dynamax, an American international legend in hip‐hop culture, member of the multi‐platinum rapper/ actor Ice T’s Rhyme Syndicate family with Donald D.

 

     Originally from the South Bronx, Dynamax’s career has traversed the globe. While residing in Europe he toured (France, Holland, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Iceland, UK, Slovakia, Germany, Sweden and Asia (Japan). He was employed to work in the French schools as a music teacher to provide the teaching of “Fundamentals of the Hip Hop Culture”. The program was sponsored by City Hall, the Local Board of Youth, Leisure and the Regional County.

 

     Since 2006,Dynamax has represented the US Embassy (A.R.S. division) as their Hip‐Hop Ambassador and Cultural Specialist, in twelve African Nations so far (Angola, Nigeria, Niger, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Kenya, Comoros, Congo and Namibia). Where he performed concerts to crowds of 5000 and ran workshops to groups as large as 900 students.

He currently has two albums on ITunes and major digital distribution: Equilibrium and The American. 

 

    Dynamax is a pioneer of the Hip Hop culture in France since his appearance on Dee Nasty's "Le Deenastyle" in 1994. He signed to Universal France for 4 years, and to name a few of the greats, he has worked with Luc Besson where he wrote and performed the score for movie trailer “YAMAKASI”, Chuck D (Public Enemy) and Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1). 

 

     Dynamax was Disc jockey and host for radio station called Generations FM providing the first international radio show: "Live From New York" from (1999 to 2003) in Paris France. He has opened and closed for Dr. Dre’s female artist “Truth Hurts” in Paris and Martinique.  Dynamax has even recorded and performed with U.S. platinum groups such as Lords of the Underground and Dead Prez. Was the front man for the 2010 BAFTA Nominees HFB (a joint venture of Dom Beken who has history with David Bowie, Placebo and ingenious chameleon Dr Alex Paterson – the Orb), Dynamax can be heard on 5 of their albums, has sold millions of records through multiple projects and holds a couple of gold records under his belt and as of late he received inheritance of the platinum records from his late legendary step father Larry Roberts who wrote for Eddie Kendricks from The Temptations, The Moments & The O’Jays,

 

     While residing in Leeds (U.K.), Dynamax worked at Life Force, a youth outreach program where not only did he teach the fundamentals of the Hip Hop Culture he also mentors the students with his knowledge and life experiences within the music industry. In addition, he has delivered workshops for Bradford Youth Centre (Bradford City Council) to which the Lord Mayor participated, also Leeds Metropolitan University to 105 students across two workshops and has worked, on various Youth projects as a performer, MC, Host and DJ.

 

     While in London, Dynamax started working on an album ‘Underdog Nation’ vol. 1 with super group “Years of the Canine” released at the end of 2016 on American Label oMo Entertainment Based in Nebraska And is submerged fusioned with Hip‐Hop and Rock which features, production and collaboration from the likes of legendary Iconic rock writer Kris Needs, Dom Beken who’s most current gig a keyboardist for Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason ‘Saucerful of Secrets’, Guy Pratt (Pink Floyds live Bassist), Headcount and Donald D  (Ice T Rhyme Syndicate) to name a few.

 

     Dynamax is currently in the United States an Preparing his return to Radio doing a mix set of new school hip hop vs the old and through his management he has aligned himself with three musicians containing of drummer, bassist and lead guitarist getting ready to tour the United States to promote his Years of the Canine hip hop/rock sound and simultaneously continue teaching and reaching out through Workshops across the country.  The importance of understanding what the culture was founded on brings community together, bridges gaps between generations, reminds us all of how and why hip hop was created, and that is to empower individuals, especially our youth.

     

     Dynamax has been on panels for Hampton University School of Liberal Arts In Virginia State discussing the state of hip-hop and its influence among the minority communities to help raise awareness of the hip-hop culture and position   it holds in today’s society along with Dr. Linda Malone Colon who is the Dean of HU School of Liberal Arts.

 

Dynamax was also invited on a panel at New York City’s Columbia University to speak on his international life in the music business and visits to Africa. The main topic of discussion ‘The Evolution of woman in hip hop’.

 

        Dynamax has the opportunity not only to tell his story, but to continue living and creating it.

     Dynamax offers various workshops on hip‐hop culture and its elements:

     

        Hip-Hop Workshop Program:

  • The Fundamentals of Hip‐Hop:  A condensed workshop including the 6 elements of Hip Hop culture:

  • DJ

  • MC

  • Beat Box

  • Dance

  • Art (Aerosol Art)

  • Knowledge; & the pioneers of the Hip-Hop culture

        -Workshop Length: 60-90 minutes

 

       Hip‐Hop’s DJ, MC’s and Beat Box:

       A practical workshop exploring:

  • The art of DJaying: mixing and tricks.

  • The art of MC’s, hosting, rap, spoken word and free styling.

  • The art of Beat-Boxing: making music with your mouth.

        -Workshop length: 60-90 minutes

 

        Hip‐Hop Culture Awareness:

  • The universal diversity of the Hip-Hop Culture

  • The importance of women in the Hip-Hop culture and society.

  • The Hip-Hop as a non-violent movement.

        -Workshop Length: 60-90 minutes

 

       The Origins of the Hip‐Hop Culture and Writers workshop:  

  • The link between Africa and African American culture

  • The true conscious message of Hip Hop vs todays Rap Music

  • How to write and structure a rap song

        -Workshop length: 60-90 minutes

 

Format:   All the workshop’s format and layouts are flexible from classroom based to seminar/theater layout and size. The practical workshop includes hands on for the pupils/students to experience the techniques of a DJ and MC.

 

Sound system: PA System, One (1) amplifier of 100 watts minimum for the workshop and another 400 watts amp for the stage, two (2) medium size speakers for the workshop and two (2) large for the stage
